Our capstone goal was to design a robust and intuitive human interface for VMIX. We achieved this by creating a modular system of smaller interchangeable boards. The boards are linked together with a self healing network system. We also consulted industry professionals to ensure we were implementing a familiar interface. We were successful and had an extremely robust, repairable and intuitive product.
A major problem facing bee keepers in Canada is wintering them. During winter the bees can not only freeze from cold but also freeze themselves into ice from humidity. Our smart bee hive can detect humidity clogged vents and open new air ways. Our project was successful. We were able to achieve all of our goals and implement them in a hive.
